Full restoration.
In 2018 the organ was completely dismantled and transported to Durham for safe storage and full restoration. Meanwhile, the concert hall and its surrounding complex (formerly known as the Colston Hall) underwent a five-year rebuilding programme. The organ was reinstated by late 2023, when the building was reopened. However, voicing and final adjustments will not be completed until 2025, due to the busy programme. The organ’s specification and musical character will be preserved intact.
